The on-line laser outer diameter measuring instrument is based on the principle of laser diffraction technology. Its principle is widely used in the production of wire and cable, optical cable, optical fiber, optical rod, iron wire, copper rod, enamelled wire, plastic pipe, steel, medical pipe, water pipe and other pipes, bars and wires with high accuracy.

The two lasers perpendicular to each other emit high-frequency pulse monochromatic light to the object to be measured. The projection of the object to be measured is displayed on the two CCD panels, and then the optical signals on the two CCD panels are converted into electrical signals, which are processed by complex algorithms to obtain the projection size of the object to be measured in the two vertical directions. Finally, the outer diameter of the object to be measured is obtained through correlation calculation. The area formed by the outer line intersection in the figure is the effective measurement range of the system.

Safety precautions: the use of the laser radiation source shall comply with the safety requirements. It is strictly prohibited to remove the equipment cover when turning off the power of the equipment to avoid injury to human eyes; Meanwhile, relevant strong current safety installation requirements must be observed. During the use of the equipment, it is necessary to pay attention to the operation state of the measured object, and avoid the occurrence of large-scale shaking and jumping. If it occurs, it should be adjusted timely to avoid affecting the accuracy of the measurement.
