Optical diameter measuring instrument (cable measuring instrument) is a measuring and controlling device for non-contact on-line measurement based on the laser scanning principle. It is mainly used in the production lines of various wires, cables and pipes to measure the external diameter and adjust the screw speed or tractor speed of the extruder to achieve the purpose of controlling the external diameter. It can also be used to measure the outer diameter and dimension of the workpiece. It can be used for measuring taper, roundness and axial runout of various rotating bodies with auxiliary devices.

According to the measurement mode, the measuring instrument can be divided into two types: single axis and double axis. The single axis caliper only measures the diameter value in one direction of the workpiece. The double axis caliper can measure the diameter value in both directions of XY at the same time. The single and double axis caliper is compact in structure and has the same operation function and output interface. The basic RT series caliper is composed of a laser measuring head, an operation panel and a remote controller. At the same time, it can be extended to connect remote displays of various sizes. The diameter measuring instrument is built with a high-precision laser scanning system and an embedded digital processing circuit. The diameter signal generated by the scanning system is first converted into a digital signal, and then the actual diameter value and related data are obtained through a series of operations and processing.

The room where the instrument is installed shall be isolated from dust, vibration, corrosive gas and moisture, and the room shall be as far away from the production site as possible. The instrument shall not be placed near heat sources such as heating water pipes or on the air vents.

4. The sliders and guide rails of the instrument shall be regularly maintained and coated with guide rail oil after cleaning; The unmodified surface shall be cleaned with gasoline and then coated with lubricating grease or antirust oil.

5. When the instrument is not in use, the instrument body shall be covered with a dust cover to prevent moisture.
