Wires and cables are mainly used in power system, information transmission and instrument system. According to different application scenarios, the production specifications and materials of wires and cables are different. Therefore, it is necessary to strictly control the rules of cables in the production process, which requires the control of products in the production process and the measurement of products after production.

In the current production industry, the production is mechanized, so there is no way to do manual measurement in the production process. Generally, measuring instruments are used for measurement, and the single direct instrument for cables is called measuring instrument.

Common measuring instrument manufacturers can be divided into photoelectric diameter measuring instrument and laser measuring instrument.

Measuring principle of laser measuring instrument: the left and right boxes are equipped with high-speed rotating HeNe laser transmitter and laser receiver. The laser beam emitted by the laser transmitter is processed by a group of lenses to become parallel light. As long as the workpiece blocks the beam, a signal is generated on the receiver. The signal is transmitted to the special computer processor through the optical and electrical sensor to read the measured diameter value, roundness runout and other parameters

The principle of photoelectric measuring instrument is similar:

Photoelectric caliper uses object telecentric optical path system and CCD imaging method to wake up non-contact size monitoring. Its core component is a photoelectric probe. Each group of probes is composed of a transmitting lens and a receiving lens. The light emitted by the point light source in the transmitting lens passes through the transmitting lens to form a parallel light field of view. The parallel light in the market is focused by the receiving lens and imaged on the CCD chip through the aperture at the focal point.
